We still have work to do in our living room in terms of accessorizing and styling, but we thought we’d give you a peek into where things are at right now. As you’ll see, most of the large pieces are furniture have been purchased and we’ll continue to design the room around the credenza, couch, armchair, and bar. We’d like to find a new-to-us vintage oriental rug to replace the one pictured here. We had this rug at the apartment and it’s still in great shape, but we’re not keen on the design in this room. We’re also struggling with what to do in the right hand side of the room when you walk in from the front door. We have a side chair there for now, but we’re thinking that a mid-century modern bench is a better choice. We can then move it near the couch for additional seating when we have guests over. The next project, however, will be replacing those outdated sconces. We’re going to go with these in either brass or matte bronze.
